The awards ceremony for 2007's 'Write Your Own Book' contest was held at the library on Friday, October 26th.
Our special guest, poet and author, Phil Terman, awarded the prizes and chatted with the kids about writing -
why we do it, what inspires us, how we can't live without it. He read from his own books of poetry and stressed
the importance of writing what you know. He encouraged all participants to start from there and practice, practice,
read, share, and above all: Write, Write, Write like the wind !
