Day Trips


General information in regards to Day Trips:
  • Registrations must be made before the deadline date.

  • Trips are subject to cancellation if the minimum requirement is not met.

  • Trips depart from and return to the City Hall parking lot (next to the Post Office) unless otherwise noted.

  • Travel times are approximate.

  • Travelers under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult on each trip.

  • REFUNDS WILL NOT BE GIVEN.

  • Registration fees must be paid in full when registering.

  • Registrations are accepted on a first come, first paid, first served basis.

  • Trips are subject to cancellation due to inclement weather. The Parks & Recreation Department will attempt to notify registered participants.

  • No stops will be made for individual transportation needs.


    •  NEW YORK CITY BUS TRIPS

    What a wonderful time to explore New York City.  Participants will be taken to NY City via motorcoach and dropped off in the vicinity of Rockefeller Plaza to explore and shop on their own.  The bus will leave the City Hall parking lot promptly at 7:00 a.m.  We will depart from NYC at 7:00 p.m. and return to Dover approximately 10:30 p.m.  Minimum of 35, maximum of 45.  We do not offer credit/refunds should you cancel your trip registration.

     Philadelphia Flower Show 2009

    PHILADELPHIA FLOWER SHOW

    2009 Theme - "Bella Italia"

    The landscapes, gardens and culture of Italy, which have enchanted visitors and artists for centuries, will serve as inspiration for the 2009 Philadelphia Flower Show theme, "Bella Italia."  The Entrance Garden of the 2009 Show will capture the majesty of ancient Rome with its formal gardens of statuary, topiary, manicured hedges and tiered plantings. Show exhibitors will also pay tribute to the many distinctive regions and cities of Italy.  The worlds largest indoor flower show covers 33 acres and is a must see event!

     

    The bus departs from the John W. Pitts Recreation Center promptly at 8:00 a.m. and returns at approximately 6:30 p.m.  Admission ticket & bus transportation included in the activity fee.  Minimum of 35, maximum of 45.  We do not offer credit/refunds should you cancel your trip registration.
