Fund Raising:

It is expected that the project ot build the new Dover Public Library which will serve as an anchor library facility for Kent County, will cost $22 million.

The Funding Plan:

•    The City of Dover has established a Reserve Account into which funds for the Library's capital campaign are deposited.

  
  

•    The Dover Library Foundation, a nonprofit organization, was created in January, 2009, to raise funds and increase grant eligibility.

  
  

•     Horizon Philanthropic, of Lewes, DE, has been hired the Dover Library Foundation to organize and operate a capital campaign to raise funds for the building project.
  The City of Dover has established a Reserve Account into which all funds for the Library’s capital campaign are deposited.
